Brian M. Taillon

               Intellectual Property Attorney

          Brian M. Taillon’s practice at McHale l Slavin focuses on intellectual property related transactions, copyright and trademark prosecution and IP litigation in federal courts.


         Mr. Taillon is experienced in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), as well as Internet domain dispute proceedings before the National Arbitration Forum. He also has experience in prosecuting applications for the registration of U.S. trademarks, including searches, opinions and responding to Office Actions. Mr. Taillon has represented clients in the preparation of numerous domestic and international transactions including: patent, trademark, copyright and know-how / show-how licensing and purchase agreements including manufacturing, marketing and distribution agreements, consultant and broker agreements, cost-sharing agreements, and biomedical general study agreements, as well as agreements pertaining to surgical devices (particularly spinal implants and pedicle screws) and other medical devices, industrial mechanical arts, biomedical formulations, chemical compounds, literary works and website development.


          Born and raised in southern New England, Mr. Taillon is an avid follower of Boston area sports. His hobbies include distance running and a “mild” obsession with CrossFit.
